"Special" is an outdated way to describe people with intellectual disabilities. But It's the perfect way to describe the Special Olympics.
So we helped them reclaim the word.

Bonus Cut
Each athlete was asked what "special" meant to them. Their answers gave us this unscripted cut.
We also created The Special Report - an interview series where Special Olympic athletes interview their sports heroes. It's picked up quite a bit of steam and now has over 70 interviews.

All of the photos in the videos were taken by Special Olympic athletes on disposable cameras that we distributes during the spring games. This is a small portion of the hundreds of photos they took.
